About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the PCU and CCU Float specialty at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN. The position is part-time and involves day shifts. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and adjusting care plans, translating physician and nursing orders into action, documenting outcomes, serving as a liaison between medical disciplines, and assessing patient needs to coordinate necessary healthcare team members.

Requirements

Advanced Life Support obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Actively implementing and adjusting care plans while keeping a constant pulse on the patient's status.
Translating physician and nursing orders into action and documenting outcomes for the rest of the medical team.
Serving as the primary point of contact between different medical disciplines to prevent "silos" in treatment.
Assessing the patient’s evolving needs and pulling in the necessary healthcare team members to meet them.
