About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 52-bed Medical Surgical unit in Oregon. The unit cares for patients with conditions including pneumonia, CHF, COPD, renal disease, sepsis, stroke, and overflow general surgical cases. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 on both days and nights. The night shift runs from 1845 to 0715, with 12-hour shifts and 36 guaranteed hours per week. Weekend and holiday work may be required based on unit needs.

The position includes two unit-orientation training shifts. Nurses may float to the surgical floor and PCU within their skillset. Two charge nurses per shift have no patient assignment, and two break nurses are also available. Patient care technicians are available, with ratios of 1:7 on days and 1:11 on nights. Nurses verify rhythms but are not required to interpret their own strips; a Tele Tech assists with monitoring. Flexible scheduling is considered, and permanent-position opportunities may be available for candidates who are a good fit.

Requirements

• BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years in a nursing role is preferred; first-time travelers are welcome.
• Ability to float to the surgical floor and PCU within the nurse's skillset.
