About The Position

The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for patients or assigned groups of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. The role supervises and directs activities of various levels of nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines, using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.

The position is on the night shift, with 36- or 48-hour shifts. Holiday requests for time off will not be approved.

The organization requires associates to receive necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment, subject to applicable medical and religious exemptions. The organization participates in E-Verify to confirm associates’ eligibility to work.

Requirements

• EPIC experience is required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification is required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Experience in an acute care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect relevant data pertinent to patients’ health or situations.
• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues.
• Develop and implement plans prescribing interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Coordinate care delivery and use strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
• Evaluate progress toward outcomes and identify patient-specific outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure safe and compassionate care.
• Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members.
• Provide health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
• Participate in discharge planning to facilitate continuity of care.
• Delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
