About The Position
Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their ACUTE Medical / Telemetry unit. This is a FULL TIME, NIGHTS position. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process. The standards of practice include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, teaching and health promotion, and evaluation. The standards of professional performance include ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice/nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Requirements
- RN Diploma, ADN, BSN or MSN
- RN License valid to work in the State of Virginia
- BLS and NIHSS within 90 days of hire
