About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the daily clinical aspects of the Assisted Living Department and works to meet residents’ needs. The role includes medication supervision and administration in compliance with Federal and State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines, consultation on health-related concerns, communication about changes in residents’ health, and responding to emergencies. The nurse also maintains confidentiality, communicates with departments and staff, understands the Safety & Disaster Plan, and provides educational meetings for residents and staff.
Requirements
- An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.
- At least one year of experience.
- Experience in a skilled, sub-acute, or memory care setting.
- A current Registered Nurse license with no judgments against it in the state where practicing.
- CPR certification.
- Acceptable fluency in English to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with supervisors, coworkers, residents, and applicable third parties.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and administer medications for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with Federal and State regulations and Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
- Provide general consultation regarding health-related concerns within the community.
- Notify physicians and/or family members of changes in residents’ health and provide proper documentation.
- Respond quickly to emergencies.
- Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
- Maintain confidentiality of residents’ and prospective residents’ information.
- Understand the Safety & Disaster Plan.
- Provide educational meetings for residents and staff.
