Requirements

Current licensure in the state of Colorado as a Registered Nurse.
Current CPR Certification.
Maintenance of required CEU’s.

Nice To Haves

Experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides Leadership and Direction on Assigned Unit
Resident Care Functions
Charting, Documentation and Assessment Functions
Participate in employee performance evaluations, determining staffing requirements, and making recommendations to the Supervisor concerning employee counseling etc.
Serve on, participate in and attend various committees and meetings of the facility to enhance interdisciplinary process.
Other duties as assigned.
Utilize the nursing process in planning and providing direct care to residents as assigned.
Plan, direct and carry out shift routines in assigned nursing unit and observe, direct and evaluate the activities of personnel as the person “in charge” according to the Nurse Practice Act.
Assume “Building Charge” responsibilities as directed by the DON or Designee.
