About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit. The RN plans, coordinates, and provides patient care, including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, post-hospitalization education for patients and families, and connecting patients with community resources. The RN may perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including serving as Charge Nurse, which requires current ACLS certification. This is an internal 13-week assignment at Rocky Mount Specialty, working nights, with a stated rate of $60 per hour. Requirements

Hold a current registered nurse (RN) license in the state where the hospital is located, or a compact license if the state participates.
Current BLS certification is required.
Provide evidence of ACLS certification within 90 days of employment; BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.
Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Nice To Haves

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
