About The Position

The Postpartum Nurse educates and assists new mothers with their physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period. The nurse provides care for infants and educates mothers about infant care. This PRN position is in the Maternity department at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri, with a night shift scheduled from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or an NLN-approved program.
• Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Obtain BLS certification within 90 days.
• Obtain NRP within one year of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership abilities.
• Valuable time-management skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Previous nursing experience.
