We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a long-term care facility located in City, State. In this role, the nurse will act as charge and be responsible for administering medications, performing wound care, and providing optimal patient care for residents with varying medical conditions. The facility is a Long Term Care facility with 26 beds/residents. The typical nurse-to-resident ratio is 1:10 during the day and 1:19 at night. Common diagnoses include Heart Disease, Diabetes, and Dementia. This role does not involve clinical involvement with IVs or titratable drips, nor telemetry monitoring. There is no on-site respiratory therapy, but oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators. Pharmacy services are off-site with a medication dispensing system in place. The interdisciplinary team includes PT as needed and a designated social worker. Shifts are 12 hours, from 7 AM to 7 PM. The weekend requirement is every other weekend, and the holiday requirement is every other major holiday. Orientation includes 2-3 shifts specific to the unit/department. This position involves working in a collaborative team environment focused on the care of long-term residents. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, compassionate, and dedicated to providing quality nursing care.
