About The Position

The Registered Nurse works in a 32-bed Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit, providing patient care and telemetry monitoring. The unit has patient ratios of 1:4–6, and telemetry capabilities on 16 beds. The position works 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. Weekend work is based on unit needs, and the nurse must work two out of three major holidays. Nurse aides are available at ratios of 1:8–16. Specific orientation will be coordinated during onboarding and is expected to last 1–2 shifts. The dress code is navy top and bottom.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• A valid Washington or Compact license.

Nice To Haves

• Telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions, including reading and documenting telemetry strips.
• Titrate Heparin, blood, and IV fluid drips as necessary.
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors as needed.
• Float within the scope of practice as required.
