About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment and provide a safe environment for patients and visitors. The position uses the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriate care for newborns and mothers during antepartum and postpartum periods.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN license.
BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained as current.
NRP certification within 90 days of hire and maintained as current.
Basic Fetal Monitoring upon hire, completed within 60 days of hire, and maintained as current.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
