About The Position
Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work night shifts in the Hospital Emergency Department. The role coordinates patient care and performs nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills. The nurse supervises LPNs and related support nursing staff and reports to a supervisory-level nursing position. The position requires working independently as part of a team, staying calm under pressure, and providing patient-centered care in emergency situations. The ideal candidate identifies and responds to patient needs, maintains accurate records, prepares timely reports, and helps maintain a clean and healthy environment in accordance with quality standards. The nurse communicates effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, demonstrates strong organizational skills in managing supplies and equipment, and uses computer skills for electronic records management. Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing.
- New York Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Two years of nursing experience.
- Emergency Department experience.
Responsibilities
