About The Position

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team at its Eagan Clinic. The role is approved for 64 hours every two weeks and provides professional nursing care for patients in an ambulatory care setting. Following established standards and protocols, the RN plans, organizes, coordinates, and delivers care that is responsive to the needs of the ages served by the clinic. As part of the care team, the RN supports quality, patient- and family-centered care by performing high-level functions that meet the needs of patients, families, and the healthcare team. The nurse also educates patients and the public about medical conditions, maintains complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation, and seeks opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Requirements

RN license in the state of practice; some positions may require additional state RN licenses.

Nice To Haves

One year of previous healthcare experience in an ambulatory setting.
Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

Assess patient needs and identify expected nursing outcomes.
Implement nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
Evaluate care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
Deliver care, as delegated by a physician or authorized practitioner, to an assigned patient population or individual patient.
Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
Continuously improve work processes and the work environment, as well as the overall customer experience, to meet business goals.
Educate patients and the public about various medical conditions.
Maintain complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation for each patient.
Look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
