Registered Nurse - OR - Per Diem
About The Position
The Perioperative Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients during the perioperative period, using specialized knowledge and skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. The nurse acts as a patient advocate, assesses the surgical environment for potential safety concerns, and intervenes appropriately while working with the surgical team to complete procedures. The role may also include orienting new staff, participating in educational programs, and securing and maintaining supplies and equipment needed for care. This per-diem position is based at Highland Park Hospital, with the ability to float to other Endeavor locations. Hours are as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of a state-approved school of nursing.
- Illinois RN license.
- CPR/BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Two years of RN experience in an OR.
- Basic computer skills.
