Registered Nurse: Per Diem
About The Position
Valley View Retirement Community is seeking an RN Supervisor to oversee daily nursing operations and ensure residents receive high-quality care in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and facility policies. The role provides leadership and support to nursing staff, coordinates care, and helps maintain a safe and supportive environment for residents and team members. The RN Supervisor has the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability needed to carry out assigned duties and uphold care standards. This is a per-diem, as-needed position with 7 a.m.–7 p.m. or 7 p.m.–7 a.m. shifts, including one weekend and one seasonal holiday. The listed wage is $48.88 per hour.
Requirements
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves
- One year of supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related healthcare setting.
- Training or experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily nursing operations and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
- Ensure nursing staff follow their job descriptions, clinical standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Initiate and maintain individualized resident care plans.
- Monitor quality of care and respond promptly to resident needs.
- Report and investigate allegations of abuse or neglect in accordance with regulations.
- Ensure incident reports are completed and investigated appropriately, and notify the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing of concerns.
- Ensure adequate LPN and Nursing Assistant staffing during assigned shifts.
- Develop and coordinate staff assignments to support quality resident care.
- Support, guide, and mentor nursing staff to maintain high practice standards.
- Perform additional nursing leadership and resident-care duties as assigned.
