About The Position

Denver Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is a 96-bed behavioral health hospital serving the Englewood area. The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care and coordinates quality general and psychiatric nursing care for patients hospitalized for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or emotional disorders. The nurse supports patient safety and well-being, follows medical orders and treatment plans, advocates for patients, and contributes to the multidisciplinary team and unit leadership. The schedule is full-time, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with rotating weekends, on-call duty, and holidays. The pay range is $39.15–$52.85 per hour. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible candidates.

Requirements

• Current Colorado or Compact State RN license.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care certifications must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already held.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Handle with Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to ill or injured persons and provide direct patient care.
• Coordinate and deliver general and psychiatric nursing care to patients hospitalized for substance abuse, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or emotional disorders.
• Take direct responsibility for observing and leading the unit staff and patients, including delegation.
• Participate actively and constructively as a member of the multidisciplinary team, supporting the organization, program, and unit philosophy of care.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.
• Ensure medical orders are followed, initiate and follow treatment planning, and act as a patient advocate.
