About The Position
Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based pediatric medical-surgical team in Tacoma, Washington. The role provides specialized nursing care to children and families through a multidisciplinary approach. Nurses are supported in participating in clinical decision-making, communicating openly with colleagues, developing professionally, and contributing to the future of nursing at MultiCare. The position is 0.9 FTE and works 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend. Care is delivered in a state-of-the-art pediatric hospital within a growing network of pediatric services. The position offers a pay scale of $48.67–$93.91 USD; actual pay depends on factors such as skills, experience, certifications, and education, and may follow an applicable union pay scale.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or a Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Apply nursing education and experience to deliver care using the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
