Registered Nurse (Travel) - NICU - $3,480/wk - Apple Valley, CA
About The Position
VitalHire is hiring a travel Registered Nurse to work in the NICU at an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, California. This is a 13-week assignment, with assignments of 13–26 weeks available. The nurse will work in a Level III NICU with about 190 births per month and perform a charge NICU RN role. The nurse may float to Mother/Baby to care for babies; floating may be full if the nurse has couplet experience. The schedule is a night shift of four 12-hour shifts, 18:00–6:30. Weekends are every other weekend and may be more frequent to meet unit needs. There is no on-call requirement and no block scheduling. The facility may call off one shift per two weeks. The hospital has 212 beds, uses Epic charting, provides free parking, and requires navy-blue scrubs. Weekly pay is $3,480. Where eligible, the assignment includes a housing and meals stipend of up to $1,505 per week. The start date is November 3, 2026, and there is one opening.
Requirements
- Active California RN license.
- At least 2 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year of recent NICU experience.
- BLS certification.
- NRP certification.
- PALS certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in a Level III NICU, including serving in a charge NICU RN role.
- Float to Mother/Baby to care for babies when needed; floating may be full for nurses with couplet experience.
- Work night shifts and every-other-weekend shifts, with additional weekend coverage possible to meet unit needs.
