About The Position
The Registered Nurse will circulate across multiple specialties in the Main OR and serve as a patient advocate, providing safe and effective patient care. The position suits experienced nurses who work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected situations, are passionate about their practice, eager to learn and improve processes, and confident speaking up when needed. Operating teams have unit-based leadership and emphasize a kind, professional, supportive, and collaborative environment. Teams use innovative processes and technologies, and the organization continues to expand its robotics programs. This is a PRN position that takes call, with a 30-minute call response time.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of applicable experience.
- Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
- Associate degree.
Responsibilities
- Circulate across multiple specialties in the operating room.
- Act as the patient advocate and provide safe and effective patient care.
- Function independently and remain accountable for using the nursing process.
- Coordinate care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
- Delegate tasks appropriately.
- Identify hospital resources.
- Serve as a clinical resource for new employees.
- Demonstrate positive formal or informal leadership within the unit or department.
