About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Intermediate Care Unit at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL. The position is full-time with night shifts. The nurse will deliver high-quality nursing care, implement and adapt care plans, coordinate with other medical disciplines, and assess patient discharge needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and protocols, while accurately noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders.
Implement, monitor, and adapt individualized care plans while continuously tracking, recording, and communicating changes in patient condition.
Serve as the primary coordinator across all medical disciplines to ensure seamless, holistic, and well-coordinated patient care.
Assess, anticipate, and coordinate patient discharge needs in active collaboration with members of the healthcare team, patients, and their families.
