About The Position
Saint Luke’s Hospital is a Magnet Designated, Level 1 Trauma Center, and Academic Medical Center. The Registered Nurse provides critical patient care to high-acuity patients from various Intensive Care Units, caring for patients with varying conditions, treatments, care plans, and acuity levels. Patients may include ICU overflow and those requiring chest tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, pulmonary care, and care following innovative valve and transplant procedures. In the hospital setting, the nurse uses the nursing process, performs patient care, delegates patient care tasks, and supervises other patient care staff. The nurse coordinates the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consults with other members of the health care team when indicated to support optimal patient outcomes. The nurse demonstrates proficiency and follows applicable policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures.
Requirements
- Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
- Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
- Associate degree.
