About The Position

The Registered Nurse will join a Labor & Delivery and Antepartum unit with 19 labor beds, 5 OBED beds, 3 PACU beds, 3 surgical beds, and 8 antepartum beds, supported by 55 staff members. Patient ratios are 2:1 for labor, 3:1 for OBED, 4:1 for Antepartum, and 1:1 in the OR. The position may require floating to the low-risk Antepartum unit as needed.

The role involves day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and requires two weekend shifts per month, with the possibility of four weekend shifts per month. Royal blue scrubs are required; t-shirts are not permitted. Strong teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment are important.

Requirements

• Experience in OBED and circulating C-sections.
• Ability to manage high-risk antepartum cases.
• Labor experience.
• Experience managing COVID-19 patients in Labor, C-Section, Antepartum, and OBED.
• Intermediate Family Medicine certification.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• NRP certification.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Labor & Delivery and Antepartum unit.
• Manage labor patients and high-risk antepartum cases.
• Provide care for patients in OBED and circulate C-sections.
• Manage COVID-19 patients in Labor, C-Section, Antepartum, and OBED.
• Perform or support typical procedures including C-sections, cerclage placements, BTL procedures, and D&C for postpartum hemorrhage only.
• Float to the low-risk Antepartum unit as needed.
