Advocate Health•Kings Mountain, NC
•$38 - $57•Onsite

About The Position

The Registered Nurse works on Atrium Health Kings Mountain’s 2 North/Progressive Care unit, a 33-bed combined medical-surgical and progressive care unit for adults with a diverse range of acute medical conditions. Common conditions include pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, heart failure, chest pain, stroke, acute kidney injury, diabetes-related complications, electrolyte imbalances, infections, and other complex medical diagnoses. As the hospital’s highest level of inpatient care, the unit calls for strong clinical judgment, early recognition of changes in patient condition, close collaboration with providers, and timely coordination of transfers when a higher level of care is needed. The nurse delivers coordinated, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation services, care management, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary team members. The role uses the nursing process throughout the continuum of care, monitors and responds to patient needs, and promotes safety, quality, ethical practice, and effective teamwork. Nurses may be required to float to other units, departments, care areas, or facilities within the designated service area. The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with a night schedule and rotating weekends as required. The listed pay range is $38.20–$57.30.
