About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department requirements and applicable state and specialty standards of practice. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the nurse delivers personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The nurse advocates for patients, families, and caregivers while supporting the organization’s mission and values and promoting positive patient experiences and clinical outcomes. The role includes assessing patients at admission and during scheduled shifts, identifying and reporting changes in condition, carrying out ordered procedures and monitoring, documenting care, administering medications and monitoring responses, and responding to patient needs. The nurse also explains medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures to patients and their support networks, helping them understand complex medical information.

Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN).
Associate degree.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assess patients at admission and during each scheduled shift, identifying and promptly reporting changes in their condition.
Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers, and document care promptly and thoroughly in the medical record.
Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients’ therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action if an unintended response occurs.
Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate patient needs, and help resolve them.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex terminology to support understanding.
Collaborate with medical providers and the care team to provide personalized, comprehensive, compassionate care.
Advocate for patients, families, and caregivers and support positive patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
