About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Infant Special Care Unit (ISCU) at Evanston, IL. The role involves providing safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care using the nursing process. The nurse will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, guide unlicensed assistive personnel, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a high-quality patient experience. The position is per diem, meaning as needed, with specific shift hours of 1900-0730 and 0700-1930, including some weekends.

Requirements

Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
BLS/CPR certification for the Healthcare Provider required (from AHA)
Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
2 plus years current ISCU/NICU experience required

Responsibilities

Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in the ISCU
Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
