About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg uses critical-thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN also assists in organizing patient-care activities as assigned. The role is a full-time day-shift position.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Registered Nurse program.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical condition, skin, pain, fall risk, medications, and discharge needs, and provide appropriate interventions.
• Develop and implement a plan of care upon admission using assessment data.
• Educate patients and families.
• Evaluate patients’ responses to interventions.
• Demonstrate leadership skills.
• Assist in organizing patient-care activities.
