About The Position

Greater Lawrence Family Health Center (GLFHC) is a multi-site, mission-driven nonprofit organization providing patient care to a culturally diverse population throughout the Merrimack Valley. The Registered Nurse provides nursing and health care services to clinicians and patients, demonstrating strong nursing knowledge, sound judgment, and assertive decision-making. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Current Massachusetts RN license.
Current BLS certification.
Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekend coverage.
Ability to don appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Perform nursing visits, assessments, evaluations, and patient education.
Safely administer and accurately document immunizations and medications.
Review laboratory results and determine next steps for care.
Triage walk-in patients and patients over the phone.
Provide education on medication, asthma, and healthy eating.
Provide wound care treatment.
Perform mental exams, including SLUMS, RUDAS, and MOCA.
Perform purified protein derivative (PPD) testing.
May perform intravenous therapy insertion after training and validation when working at the Covid Infusion Clinic.
Conduct functional assessments and vision screenings.
Monitor vaccine refrigerators, the crash cart, and oxygen machines for quality control.
Oversee medication and vaccine ordering and inventory.
Follow OSHA standards, identify potential safety hazards, and take action to remedy them.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
