About The Position

Sunflower Bank, N.A. is hiring a part-time Universal Banker for its Hays E 27th branch. The role combines teller duties, personal banking, and customer service. Universal Bankers provide retail banking products and services, process customer transactions and requests, and develop business opportunities with current and prospective customers. The position is scheduled for 20–25 hours per week. Banking experience is a plus but is not required; training is provided. Pay depends on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location. The position involves extended periods of sitting or standing, using hands to operate computers or other equipment, and reaching for work-related tasks. Regular walking may be required, along with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. The role may involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Essential job functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

Customer service experience is required.
Cash handling experience is required.
Good computer skills.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.

Responsibilities

Perform full-service banking, with a primary focus on service and sales to new and existing customers within the branch.
Perform teller duties, including cash transactions, opening or updating accounts, and providing information about other products and services.
Address customer needs and support a positive customer experience during phone calls and branch visits.
Meet or exceed sales and referral goals and individual and branch targets.
Inform customers about promotions, contests, and new account options.
Develop new business opportunities with current and potential customers.
