About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The nurse delivers direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while supporting Methodist Health System’s mission, vision, values, and strategic goals.

The role is at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, a 294-bed acute-care hospital serving North Texas. The center provides services including Level III Trauma, NICU, and Maternal Care and is recognized for nursing excellence and advanced patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Current license to practice nursing in Texas, or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 2 years of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to general hospital standards and promote a cooperative work environment through communication, interpersonal relationships, and team building.
• Take responsibility for the nursing components of the patient, family, and significant other education process.
• Communicate with the care team, coworkers, patients, and family members, and evaluate their understanding of information.
• Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, self, coworkers, and the facility.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely written communication of patient information.
• Provide a therapeutic environment through safe, accurate, and timely medication and IV administration.
• Take personal responsibility and initiative for performance and professional growth and development.
• Use the nursing process to ensure quality patient care throughout the episode of care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
