RN Registered Nurse Nights Fulltime L&D
About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. The RN uses the nursing process to assess patients, plan care, and perform care interventions, and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in planning and implementing patient care. Additional duties within the scope of the role may be assigned. The position is based at Baptist Medical Center East. Working conditions include substantial mobility and computer work in an indoor environment with minimal noise. The role involves exposure to infectious disease, hazardous chemicals, occasional radiation, and occasional risk of electrical shock.
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing required.
- Active RN licensure required.
- BLS certification required.
- Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
Nice To Haves
- BSN degree preferred.
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, or TNCC may be required depending on the assigned area.
