About The Position

Wood Violet Recovery is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing medical team. This position provides medical support for adult clients participating in our residential treatment program, and offers a unique opportunity to combine traditional nursing skills with patient education, wellness support, and care coordination. Unlike hospital settings, you'll have the opportunity to build relationships with patients throughout their stay, work closely with an interdisciplinary team, and make a lasting impact on their recovery and overall well-being.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in the state of Wisconsin.
• 3-5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a behavioral health or equivalent environment.
• 1-3 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Excel at an intermediate/advanced level.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
• Ability to support and educate clients in early recovery.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation
• Complete nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring
• Coordinate care with medical providers and treatment teams
• Facilitate provider appointments and follow-up care
• Assist with admissions and discharge planning
• Provide patient education regarding medications, health, and wellness
• Communicate with families and support systems as appropriate
• Respond to medical concerns and emergencies when needed
• Support patients as they work toward improved health and recovery
