About The Position
MultiCare is seeking a staff Registered Nurse to join its hospital-based team at Capital Medical Center. The RN will use specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care through a multidisciplinary approach. MultiCare describes its nursing environment as supporting nurses’ involvement in clinical decision-making, communication, professional development, and understanding the future of nursing at the organization. Capital Medical Center is a 107-bed community hospital serving Olympia and surrounding communities. It offers more than 20 specialties, including emergency services, surgical care, and a dedicated birth center. The role is listed at 0.9 FTE, with evening shifts on a 12-hour schedule.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting preferred.
- Certification in a specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care according to the nursing process and hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience and reduce costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
