About The Position

PAM Health is hiring a Dialysis Registered Nurse to provide and oversee dialysis treatments for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians. Under the direction of nursing leadership, the nurse uses the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the nursing unit. The role also includes interdisciplinary and discharge planning, patient and family education for post-hospitalization, and connecting patients with community resources. Other related duties may be assigned, including Charge Nurse duties.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state where applying.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification is required after 90 days of employment; ACLS is required from day one for Charge Nurses, High Observation, and ICU roles.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification initially; it is preferred for the role before becoming required after 90 days.
• Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC).

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care for patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care, including interdisciplinary planning and discharge planning.
• Teach patients and families about post-hospitalization care.
• Access community resources for patients.
• Oversee dialysis treatments prescribed for patients with acute or chronic kidney failure.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested, which may include Charge Nurse duties.
