About The Position

Hillsdale Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Med Surg Unit in south central Michigan. This is a full-time day-shift position, scheduled 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., three days per week for 36 hours, including every other weekend. Relocation to Hillsdale Hospital is offered. Eligible nurses may receive a one-time $5,250 payment toward their RN student loan, and applicants who live more than 75 miles from the hospital could qualify for relocation assistance.

The nurse monitors and treats patients, maintains accurate and confidential records, advises patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention, and works with the healthcare team to assess, administer, and evaluate individual care plans. The role calls for compassionate, non-judgmental communication and a focus on creating a comfortable environment for patients and families.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan RN license; applicants may possibly start as a GN while obtaining their Michigan endorsement.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TEAM certifications; these are available through Hillsdale Hospital.

• Nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
