About The Position

Hillsdale Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Med Surg Unit in south central Michigan. This is a full-time day-shift position with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours total), 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including every other weekend. Relocation assistance may be available to eligible applicants who live more than 75 miles from the hospital. Eligible nurses may receive a one-time payment of $5,250 toward RN student loans.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan RN license; candidates may possibly start as a graduate nurse while obtaining Michigan endorsement.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TEAM certifications; these are available through Hillsdale Hospital.

• Nursing experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and treat patients’ conditions and maintain accurate, detailed, confidential reports and records.
• Consult with and advise patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Create a comfortable environment for patients and families through a non-judgmental, compassionate attitude and open communication.
• Work cohesively with the healthcare team to assess, administer, and evaluate individual patient care plans.
