Winchester Hospital - Experienced Rehab RN Transition Program
About The Position
Winchester Hospital is seeking an experienced rehabilitation Registered Nurse to join its hospital team through an Acute Care Transition Program designed for rehabilitation nurses moving into the hospital setting. The program provides personalized training, dedicated mentorship, simulation experiences, and a supportive clinical orientation to help nurses build acute-care skills and confidence while drawing on their rehabilitation expertise. In this role, the RN supports patients as they regain strength, independence, and confidence during recovery. The position offers opportunities across inpatient divisions and within collaborative interdisciplinary teams. Winchester Hospital is a 183-bed member of Beth Israel Lahey Health serving northwest suburban Boston, with clinical services across medicine, surgery, pediatrics, cancer care, obstetrics/gynecology, and newborn care.
Requirements
- Active RN license.
- Experience in rehabilitation, post-acute, skilled nursing, or inpatient rehabilitation settings.
- Strong patient education and care coordination skills.
- Passion for helping patients achieve their highest level of function and independence.
- Must be vaccinated against influenza as a condition of employment.
