About The Position
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed care to patients and families at a competent level, using the principles and practices of the nursing process. The nurse delivers safe and effective care and works with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results. The role is with Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA), in MedSurg 2nd Floor (NMC). It is a regular employee position scheduled for 36 hours per week. A $30,000 sign-on bonus is offered to experienced hires.
Requirements
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or an AHA-recognized equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required.
- Ability to meet the stated physical, sensory, and mental requirements of the role, including standing, walking, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds unassisted, and dealing effectively with stressful situations.
