Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg
About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the MedSurg Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. The nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the unit. The role ensures continuity of patient care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising care delivered by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The nurse also participates in patient and family education and serves as a patient advocate in support of the organization’s mission. This is a part-time, night-shift position, working 1900–0730 for 48 hours per pay period. A commitment bonus of up to $12,500 is offered.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous telemetry experience.
- PALS certification for charge-trained nurses.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients within the nursing unit.
- Provide direct patient care and ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Supervise care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
