About The Position
Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the MedSurg Department at Avita Ontario Hospital. The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients in the nursing unit. The role supports continuity of care between shifts through direct patient care and supervision of care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff. The nurse participates in patient and family education and serves as a patient advocate, aligned with the organization’s mission.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of previous nursing experience.
- Previous telemetry experience.
- PALS certification for charge-trained nurses.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the nursing unit.
- Provide direct patient care and help ensure continuity of care between shifts.
- Supervise care provided by nursing assistants, LPNs, and supportive staff members.
- Participate in patient and family teaching.
- Maintain a patient advocate role with a focus on the organization’s mission.
