The RN provides safe, effective direct care using the nursing process and coordinates care for assigned patients during a shift to promote clinical outcomes. The RN takes a beginning bedside leadership role, participates in unit and shared-governance activities, and contributes to quality, patient experience, employee engagement, and nursing-sensitive indicator improvement.
