RN - Registered Nurse - Vent Unit
About The Position
Ludlowe, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is hiring a Registered Nurse for its Vent Unit. The nurse will help ensure residents’ health, comfort, and well-being by assessing their conditions, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and working with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Applicants must have experience working on a Vent Unit. The position is part-time, with a 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. schedule, at 118 Jefferson Street, Fairfield, Connecticut, 06825. Requirements
- Valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience working on a Vent Unit.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nursing needs of aged and chronically ill people, with the ability to work with both.
- Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care delivery.
- Oversee and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in delivering quality care.
