RN - Registered Nurse - Vent Unit
About The Position
Ludlowe, an affiliate of National Health Care Associates, is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for its Vent Unit in Fairfield, Connecticut. The nurse will support residents’ health, comfort, and well-being by assessing their conditions, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Vent Unit experience is required. Requirements
- Valid state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Experience working on a Vent Unit.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Interest in the nursing needs of older adults and chronically ill patients, with the ability to work with both.
- Strong clinical skills and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information.
- Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support holistic care delivery.
- Oversee and guide Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) in delivering quality care.
