About The Position

Avita Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the MedSurg Department at Avita Galion Hospital. The role assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for patients within the nursing unit. The nurse ensures continuity of patient care between shifts by providing direct care and supervising care delivered by nursing assistants, LPNs, and support staff. The position also includes patient and family education and serving as a patient advocate in alignment with the organization’s mission.

This is a full-time position with a 7 p.m.–7 a.m. schedule, every-third-weekend and holiday rotation, and 72 hours per pay period. A commitment bonus of up to $25,000 is advertised.

Requirements

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of previous nursing experience.
• Previous telemetry experience.
• PALS certification.
• Charge-trained nurses are noted in connection with the PALS preference.
