About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides outpatient patient care at Mercy Saint Francis using the nursing process and maintains professional accountability for the care of assigned patients. The RN evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinates patient care with other departments. The position maintains patient rights and confidentiality and performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards. This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week on days, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
Obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure for the state where nursing duties are performed, and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or successful completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods during each shift.
Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

Depending on the position or unit, one or more additional certifications may be required, or may need to be obtained within the department-required timeframe: ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E. Six Assessment & Care Modules, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications.
