About The Position

The Registered Nurse 3 Tower (Surgical) provides direct and indirect patient care. The nurse communicates with physicians about changes in a patient's clinical condition, including assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. With adequate training and supervision, the nurse can perform general nursing duties in all nursing departments. The position also participates in departmental performance improvement projects. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Mississippi Board of Nursing or Compact State licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Ability to speak effectively and professionally to staff, management, and outside individuals.
• Ability to apply basic and advanced mathematical skills to calculate medications, IV drip rates, and medication dosages.
• Ability to apply non-judgmental reasoning when dealing with patients, staff, visitors, and others.
• Meet the specific nursing unit's national certification requirements, as applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Nursing experience is preferred but not required.
