About The Position

Baptist Health Princeton Hospital is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the Cath Lab on day shift. No call is required. The nurse provides individualized, age-appropriate, evidence-based patient care, coordinates care with the healthcare team, and supports safe, compassionate clinical operations. The role also includes maintaining clinical competencies, documenting care, and contributing to professional development and quality improvement.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meet all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health and the unit or department.
• Maintain a current State of Alabama RN license.
• Maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• At least 1 year of critical care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care while advocating for patients and families.
• Coordinate patient care and appropriately delegate responsibilities to healthcare team members.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership to support effective patient care and unit operations.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, medications, education, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain clinical expertise and competency in nursing skills and equipment; serve as a preceptor, educator, or charge nurse as needed.
• Promote a compassionate, safe, inclusive, and therapeutic environment while upholding patient rights and legal standards.
• Support professional development, quality improvement initiatives, peer mentoring, organizational goals, and compliance with policies and procedures.
