About The Position

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the general supervision and coordination of nursing personnel on shift, including during weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. The RN uses the nursing process to assess patients, plan care, and perform care interventions, and collaborates with physicians and other healthcare clinicians in planning and implementing patient care. Additional duties within the scope of the role may be assigned.

This position is based at Baptist Medical Center East and is identified as an RN NICU role. The listed schedule is full-time, third shift (7 p.m.).

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Ability to observe, assess, and record work, safety, and infection control standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
• Position requires sitting for 20% and mobility for 80% of the workday.
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching; frequent reaching, hand use, and repetitive action.
• Occasional lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds.
• Continuous speaking with clear diction, hearing sensitivity, and visual acuity at close and distant range.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree preferred.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, or TNCC may be required depending on the assigned area.
