About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the physician(s) in the clinic, the Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to all patient populations. The role works with team members and providers to ensure efficient, quality patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The posting also describes an alternative Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applicant path. Under the supervision of the provider(s) in the clinic, the LPN assists with patient care services as delegated or assigned and functions within the scope of practice set by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing. The LPN collaborates with clinical staff, patients, and their families.
Requirements
- For an RN applicant: graduate of an accredited state-approved school of nursing.
- For an RN applicant: current Mississippi RN license, a temporary permit valid for 90 days only, or a Compact license.
- For an RN applicant: standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- For an RN applicant: ability to interpret physicians’ instructions.
- For an RN applicant: ability to use and operate equipment and instruments used in patient care.
- For an RN applicant: good oral and written communication skills and ability to educate patients.
- For an LPN applicant: graduate of an accredited LPN program or completion of requirements for licensure.
- For an LPN applicant: current Mississippi license or temporary permit.
- For an LPN applicant: oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
