About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to all patient populations under the direct supervision of the clinic physician(s). The role works with team members and providers to support efficient, quality patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The posting also describes an alternative Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applicant pathway. Under clinic provider supervision, the LPN assists with patient care services as delegated or assigned, functions within the scope of practice established by the Mississippi State Board of Nursing, and collaborates with clinical staff, patients, and their families.
Requirements
- For RN applicants: graduate of an accredited state-approved school of nursing.
- For RN applicants: current Mississippi RN license, a temporary permit valid for 90 days only, or a Compact license.
- For RN applicants: knowledge of standard nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
- For RN applicants: ability to interpret physicians’ instructions.
- For RN applicants: ability to use and operate equipment and instruments used in patient care.
- For RN applicants: good oral and written communication skills and ability to educate patients.
- For LPN applicants: graduate of an accredited LPN program or completion of requirements for licensure.
- For LPN applicants: current Mississippi license or temporary permit.
- For LPN applicants: oral and written communication skills.
