Registered Nurse (RN) Ortho Neuro
About The Position
The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The RN uses evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while helping create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The role is based in the 24-bed Ortho Neuro Surgical Care Unit at Magnet-designated Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois. The unit cares for orthopedic and neurology surgical patients and has a collaborative team of nurses and nursing assistants with a range of experience. This is a full-time day position with a 7 a.m.–7 p.m. schedule and 36 hours per week.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
